We are looking for a seasoned Litigation Associate to join a mid-sized law firm based in San Francisco, California, and handling complex litigation cases.
Responsibilities:
• Handle complex litigation cases with professionalism and precision
• Draft complaints, motions, pleadings, and discovery documents as required
• Take and defend depositions effectively and thoroughly
• Argue motions in court
• Handle mediation sessions with tact and diplomacy
• Examine witnesses at trial with a keen eye for detail
• Supervise more junior attorneys and support staff, guiding their professional development
• Utilize Case Management Software and LexisNexis for efficient case handling
• Draft Motions with a clear understanding of legal proceedings
Requirements:
• Must hold a valid license to practice law in California
• Must have 5-10+ years of experience, ideally within Antitrust and Complex Litigation
• Strong knowledge and practical use of Case Management Software
• Proficiency in using legal research tools such as LexisNexis
• Demonstrated ability to draft motions and create effective briefings
• Excellent communication, negotiation and public speaking skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently and effectively
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• High ethical standards and professional integrity
• Willingness to keep up with current changes in law and ability to adapt to new legislation and regulatory directives.
