Ancilia Biosciences is leveraging CRISPR’s natural function as the bacterial immune system against viruses to develop a new class of live biotherapeutics & bacterial products for a range of applications. Our work is interdisciplinary and lies at the intersection of the microbiome, the virome, and CRISPR.

Role Responsibilities:
- Advance development of microbial engineering platform
- Implement protocols for phage isolation and characterization
- Design and execute experiments as needed to advance initial product pipeline
- Analyze data and effectively communicate results to key stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team
Role qualifications:
- Experience with microbial engineering is required
- Experience working with anaerobic bacteria is strongly preferred
- Knowledge and experience working with phages is a significant plus
- Experience working with complex microbiome samples is a plus
- Skilled in all standard molecular biology and microbiology techniques, including cloning, PCR, and bacterial culturing
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting
- Ability to achieve key milestones under defined timelines
- Ability and desire to learn quickly and grow in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to thrive in a collaborative environment
- Minimum qualifications: Masters in related discipline OR 2+ years of relevant industry experience is required
-This position is full time, on location in New York City. Compensation in the range of $75k -$120k/year commensurate with experience
