Bear Construction LLC is looking for a full-time Estimator to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining a consistent, accurate, and timely delivery of quotes to new and existing customers, maintaining project files, ordering and scheduling materials, reading and interpreting plans, and communicating with clients and engineers. Your positive attitude, willingness to learn and continue to develop your skills as an estimator and project manager, your attention to detail, and your passion for the construction industry will ensure your ability to succeed in this position. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop project budgets (including labor and materials cost), schedules, & timelines
- Comprehensive analysis of scope of work
- Accurate take-off of all required materials using PlanSwift or BlueBeam
- Maintain up-to-date subcontractor pricing and scopes of work
- Review bids with company leadership team before submitting
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the project
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports
- Review completed project summaries with company leadership team
Requirements/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience in underground utilities and civil site development estimation/project management
- Working knowledge of AGTEK or INSITE
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent math skills
- Extremely detail-oriented
- Effective communication skills
- A valid driver's license
- High standards of honesty, integrity, and commitment to producing a quality work product
Preferred Requirements/Skills:
- Associates or Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience)
- Working knowledge of computer-aided estimating software (ProEstimate.net)
- Ability to read and interpret site plans
