Customer Service Representative (CSR)- Decatur, IL
This is a non-exempt level position.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Create, handle and manage container shipping documents as well as managing all necessary documents for customer payment, L/C application and bank negotiation.
  • Act as liaison with both internal (traders, trade finance, logistics, customers) and external parties (suppliers, customer, shipping companies etc).
  • Assist with various functions within the NA Container Export group
  • Must be analytical, have problem-solving ability, well organized and possess the memory skills to retain situations along with the thought process to act with self-direction.
Job Requirements:
  • Associates degree or 1-2 years of experience equivalent and prevalent to the position based on description
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook) required
  • Must be analytical, have problem-solving ability, well organized and possess the memory skills to retain situations along with the thought process to act with self-direction.
  • Must be able to hear and speak clearly; read, comprehend and communicate, orally and in writing in order to effectively communicate in person or by phone
  • Position requires standing, filing, bending, kneeling, keyboarding operations, sitting for extended periods of time and working on the telephone
  • Attention to detail required
  • Knowledge of UCP, Letters of Credit preferred
  • Knowledge of GAFTA contracts preferred
