Job Title: Production Operator Job Description As a Hand Work Operator and Inserter Trainee, you will assist in the operation of the AutoSET XT and AutoSET B4 and/or other intelligent inserter equipment while working towards operator certification under the guidance of the Production Supervisor and Inserter Operator. This full-time position requires flexibility to work overtime and various shifts as needed. Your time will be split between inserter operation assistance and general related duties. You will also assist in the operation of the NX Inkjet Press, OceVario 9630, and other intelligent printing equipment, working towards operator certification.
Responsibilities - Report to production supervisor at the start of each assigned shift.
- Assist the operator in setting up jobs scheduled for assigned equipment.
- Sort, tray, strap, and prepare finished mail pieces for delivery to the USPS under the direction of the Operator.
- Deliver supplies from staging area to the operator as needed to complete full production.
- Assist the Operator in completing paperwork for each production run.
- Maintain a clear conveyor belt in a timely fashion as mail is coming out.
- Assist in operating manual and electric pallet jack.
- Ensure tray and pallet presentation meets quality standards.
- Run and set-up Neopost machine (Handwork Operator only).
- Perform other duties as directed by Operator 1 or Shift Supervisor.
- Clean and maintain equipment as directed by the Operator and Production Shift Supervisor.
- Assist Operator in completing work orders for each production run.
- Inform Operator of any problems with the assigned area or on the production floor.
- Function as a team member of the entire production operation.
- Work towards certification as Printer Operator.

Work Environment The work environment is very noisy with all the machines running, so you need to be comfortable with that. Otherwise, it's a very clean and nice facility. The standard working hours are 2 PM to 11 PM, Monday through Friday.
