Warehouse Associate Overview: As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the organization and presentation of merchandise within a warehouse setting. Your primary responsibilities include sorting and folding clothing and other items and attaching appropriate tags or labels. Your attention to detail and efficiency will contribute to the success of our customers and ensuring accurate inventory management.
Temporary/Seasonal position; 6 week project
Pay: $12/hr. - weekly pay.
START BONUS!!!!! Shift: 9:30am-4:30pm; Monday - Friday Responsibilities: - Sort Merchandise:
- Inspect completed merchandise.
- Separate items based on product type, size, color, and any other relevant criteria.
- Folding and Presentation:
- Skillfully fold clothing and other items to maintain their visual appeal and facilitate ease for customers.
- Ensure items are neatly arranged and organized on shelves, racks, or display tables.
- Tagging and Labeling:
- Attach price tags, labels, or promotional materials to merchandise as per company guidelines.
- Verify the accuracy of pricing and product information.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect items for defects, stains, or damage.
- Remove any damaged or unsellable items from inventory and report issues to the supervisor.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of shipped merchandise.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory counts.
- Cleanliness and Organization:
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from clutter.
- Ensure that all safety and cleanliness protocols are followed.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with colleagues in other departments, such as sales team and customer service, to ensure efficient merchandise flow and accuracy.
- Adherence to Policies:
- Follow company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines, pricing regulations, and inventory control protocols.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or similar environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in sorting, folding, and tagging merchandise.
- Strong organizational skills to keep merchandise neat and accurate.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-friendly demeanor.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift and move merchandise, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Basic math skills for verifying pricing and counting inventory.
- Flexibility to work during weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
