POSITION: Executive Director JOB TYPE: Full Time
LOCATION: Grande Prairie, Alberta
JOB SUMMARY: The Agency is assisting Resource Centre For Suicide Prevention (RCSP) in the recruitment of a dynamic and strategic Executive Director. The successful candidate will lead the organization in mental health promotion and suicide prevention initiatives within their community. This role presents a unique opportunity to leverage RCSP's strong reputation and recent successes to make a meaningful impact. The Executive Director will report directly to the Board of Directors, overseeing resource management, advocacy efforts, and organizational leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including community partners, government agencies, and donors.
Represent RCSP at events and in media interactions.
Oversee annual budgeting and daily financial operations.
Coordinate grant applications and fundraising activities, ensuring compliance with monitoring and reporting requirements.
Handle all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and supervision.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages excellence, professional development, and accountability.
Support Board governance with timely information and meeting preparation.
Maintain and implement the organization's Policy Manual.
Coordinate strategic planning and implementation of suicide prevention programs.
Ensure high-quality service delivery aligned with best practices.
Attend relevant training sessions and conferences.
REQUIREMENTS: Ideal candidates will have a degree in Human Services or Business (social work preferred).
Experience in non-profit program development and supervision.
Proficiency in budget management and grant writing.
Strong project management and communication skills.
Team player with creative problem-solving abilities.
Valid Class 5 Drivers License and access to a reliable vehicle.

ASIST
Mental Health First Aid
Indigenous Canada First Aid
Standard First Aid
