Our client, a respected Ottawa law firm, is offering an exciting opportunity to manage complex cases, provide expert legal advice, and enjoy a hybrid role—only one day in the office per week! Competitive salary of $85,000-$105,000

About you

To be considered, you will need

• 2+ years of commercial, civil, or construction litigation experience
• Proven ability to manage complex cases and multiple matters simultaneously
• Strong communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills
• Proficiency in legal research tools like Westlaw or CanLII
• Experience with arbitration and mediation is an asset

About the role

If successful, you will:

• Handle commercial, civil, and construction disputes in court, arbitration, and mediation
• Draft and file legal documents like pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts
• Conduct legal research to build strong case strategies and arguments
• Advise clients on litigation, risk management, and dispute resolution options
• Manage all litigation stages, from investigation to trial or settlement
• Negotiate and draft settlements, ensuring clients' best interests
• Collaborate with experts and maintain organized, up-to-date case files
