Baldwin & Shell Construction Company is looking for a Warehouse Delivery Driver who will thrive in our company.
This position is located at our warehouse in North Little Rock, AR. This is a full-time position with a typical work schedule of Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm.
The Delivery Driver is tasked with transporting materials, equipment, and tools, to and from the Warehouse and construction sites. This position also assists in the daily operations of the Company's warehouse. With a focus on safety, organization, and teamwork, the Delivery Driver will help facilitate the flow of materials to and from job sites, supporting project timelines and goals. This role offers an opportunity to be an integral part of our construction operations, contributing to the overall success and growth of our company.
Responsibilities:

  • Prepare orders for job site deliveries and check for accuracy of items ordered and the quality of items being sent before leaving for delivery.
  • Safely transport construction materials, equipment, and supplies to job sites using company vehicles.
  • Load and unload materials and equipment from delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
  • Inspect delivery vehicles before and after each trip to ensure they are in good working condition and comply with safety regulations.
  • Plan delivery routes efficiently to minimize travel time and ensure timely delivery of materials to job sites.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and construction supervisors to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues or delays.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials at job sites, working collaboratively with construction crews to ensure efficient delivery and placement of materials.
  • Verify the accuracy of delivery orders and ensure that all required materials and equipment are delivered to the correct location.
  • Provide excellent customer service to construction site personnel, addressing any concerns or questions regarding deliveries promptly and professionally.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures while operating delivery vehicles and handling construction materials, ensuring a safe working environment for oneself and others.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies and equipment for each trip.
  • Report any vehicle maintenance issues or safety concerns to supervisors promptly and follow company policies and procedures for vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks as needed, including counting and restocking materials in the warehouse or storage yard.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving delivery vehicles, practicing defensive driving techniques to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of oneself and others on the road.
  • Stay informed about construction site locations, road closures, and traffic conditions to plan delivery routes effectively and avoid delays.
  • Provide feedback to dispatchers and supervisors regarding route efficiency, customer preferences, and any issues encountered during deliveries to improve overall delivery operations.
  • Attend training sessions and safety meetings as required to maintain knowledge of company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisors, including helping with general warehouse tasks or providing support to other departments as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Be able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
  • Be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
  • Excel at both verbal and written communication.
  • Pursuant to the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593, this position is a designated safety-sensitive position according to Baldwin & Shell standards and processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Class A CDL preferred but not required.
