Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our close-knit team of three intensivists at WellStar Spalding Medical Center.
  • Work alongside our teams comprised of clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds with a shared dedication to the practice of critical care medicine.

Qualifications:

  • A medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution and successful completion of a fellowship in critical care medicine is necessary.
  • Board certified/eligible in critical care medicine is required.
  • At least five years of experience leading a team of intensivists is required.
  • An active medical license in Georgia or eligibility to obtain one is necessary.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
Practice in the Heart of the Community

Flexible Scheduling:

  • We offer an array of flexible scheduling options, which includes one intensivist during the day and tele-ICU coverage at night.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, comprehensive care to patients in an ICU within a 160-bed community hospital that includes a primary stroke center.
  • Lead multidisciplinary rounds with active team participation.
  • Demonstrate robust leadership over a high-performing team of Intensivists.
  • Support Internal Medicine residents who will rotate in the ICU as part of the hospital's GME program.
  • Work closely with colleagues in other departments to ensure smooth transitions of care.
  • Participate in and encourage other team members to participate actively in committees and become part of the larger hospital team.
