Job Description

The Supply Chain Manager will oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, including inventory management, logistics, supplier relationship management, procurement oversight, & scheduling of operations to ensure fulfillment of customer orders in a timely manner. He/She will lead a team of forecasting, purchasing, planning, picking-packing personnel to maintain optimal and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving operational efficiency, ensuring cost effectiveness, and meeting customer satisfaction goals. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee inventory planning & management to ensure stock availability while minimizing holding costs.
  •  Coordinate & monitor logistics & distribution operations to ensure timely delivery of goods. (Daily outbound and inbound shipping oversight and management.)
  • Strong knowledge of shipping software and inventory management systems.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping processes, freight documentation, and regulations.
  • Effectively use ERP system to manage inventory and all related processes to the ERP system.
  • Monitor, report, and take appropriate action monthly on the metrics/KPI’s for suppliers, operations planning, and inventory.
  • Analyze supply chain performance metrics & identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Forecasting, Sales, and Finance to align supply chain operations with business objectives.
  • Implement & maintain risk management practices to address supply chain disruptions.
  • Communicate effectively with Suppliers, Distributors, and Customers.
  • Communicate effectively with Shipping, Warehouse & Procurement staff.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards in supply chain activities.
  • Lead the coordination and execution of the annual physical inventory and set up requisite cycle counts during the year.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) in Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration or Logistics.
  • 5+ years experience in purchasing, scheduling and inventory management in a supply chain related position(s).
  • Experience with ERP systems for order management and fulfillment (is a must).
  • Experience with quality management systems.
  • Proven knowledge and use of Lean manufacturing principles (and/or six sigma) in a manufacturing environment.
  • Adept in MS Office applications – Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills (is a must).
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS, CSCP, CPIM, or similar).
