  • JOB SUMMARY AND SPECIFICATIONS
    • JOB SUMMARY
      • Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying a magnetic field for the purpose of detecting pathology. Screens patients and visitors before entering the MRI suite to ensure patient/visitor safety. Applies principles, theories and techniques of MRI technology to produce reliable test results. Operates the MRI equipment and images to obtain a permanent record of the examination. Knowledgeable in the effects of the static magnetic field to safely scan patients. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments, and Medical Staff.
    • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
      • Professional & Technical Skills
        • One year of hospital MRI experience preferred.
      • Education
        • Successful completion of a program from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
      • License(s) or Certification(s)
        • Registered with the ARRT and certified in MRI and certified by the State of Indiana.
      • Other Skills or Requirements
        • Ability to perform all MRI procedures without constant supervision..
      • Skilled to Care for Certain Age-Related Patient Groups (incumbents will be skilled in the care of the following patient groups)
