Job Description

Brunel is currently searching for a Materials/Warehouse Coordinator for a long-term contract position with our client located in Bagdad, Arizona . This candidate will work directly on the Bagdad, Arizona mine site. Will consider out of area candidate on a 4/1 rotation. 4 weeks on site, 1 week OFF. If local, scheduled would be regular.

Hands on Supervisor who understands how to manage a warehouse and can provide the necessary oversight, guidance and management to the construction contractor responsible for running the warehouse.


Essential Functions:

  • Develop a basic material and equipment storage plan showing the location of warehouses, laydown yards, weather-protected storage areas, site fabrication facilities, and construction equipment storage and maintenance. This responsibility includes identifying the type of materials and equipment to be stored at each location
  • Ensure proper maintenance by the construction contractor of the Materials Controls computerized system - a data processing tool that assists users in the performance of day-to-day material operations
  • Supervise and assist the construction contractor in receiving, checking, storing, issuing, and maintaining records on all materials and equipment
  • Supervise the construction contractor in requisitioning, controlling, issuing, inventorying, and maintaining records on all small tools and expendable supplies
  • Supervising the construction contractor in preparing and distributing Overage, Shortage, and Damage Reports for all shipment discrepancies
  • Supervising the construction contractor in ensuring preservation activities are undertaken in accordance with vendor recommendations


Job Scope Information:

  • Nature of Work - Works on mildly complex issues and implements solutions mostly through the determination of strategy and delegation to others in a group or functional area.
  • Level of Interaction - Often collaborates with managers and/or functional or site leaders and has some interaction with external colleagues.
  • Autonomy/Decision making - Has moderate supervision and some latitude to set objectives, priorities and timelines that may impact a department or individual work group.
  • Budgetary responsibility – Has no budget responsibility
  • Managerial responsibility - Manages a function or specific program(s) or project(s) and varying sizes teams of people


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma and 8 years’ experience in materials management warehousing, with at least 3 years in supervisory roles
  • .Ability to analyze complex data, identify potential problems with solutions and give accurate projections. Strong problem-solving skills required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in reporting, record-keeping etc.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel and work on-site as required.
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers in a business environment: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is essential


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with large copper production and related facilities
  • Prior EPCM experience preferred
  • Working as a team member (Client, EPCM & Contractors)


Offer:

  • Up to $500/day USD based on experience

  • If candidate is not local to Miami, Arizona, client will provide accommodations and travel for a 4 week on, 1 week work from home rotation, along with monthly stipend for living expenses.
