About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This onsite position will support attorneys specializing in plaintiff personal injury, plaintiff employment, and medical malpractice cases. The ideal candidate is a motivated professional with extensive experience managing all phases of litigation, from pre-suit to trial.
Key Responsibilities
- Trial Preparation:
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, mediations, and arbitrations, including creating trial binders, organizing exhibits, and drafting trial-related documents.
- Coordinate with experts, witnesses, and clients to ensure readiness for trial proceedings.
- Calendaring and Docketing:
- Manage and maintain case schedules, court deadlines, and appointments.
- Monitor and track legal deadlines using calendaring software to ensure compliance.
- Discovery Management:
- Draft, organize, and respond to discovery requests, subpoenas, and interrogatories.
- Review and organize large volumes of medical records, employment documents, and other evidence.
- Coordinate document production and perform document review for major personal injury matters.
- Case Management:
- Maintain and organize case files from intake through resolution.
- Assist with drafting pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents as needed.
- Conduct legal and factual research to support case strategy.
- Client Interaction:
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and compassionate communication throughout the case lifecycle.
- Schedule client meetings and manage follow-ups.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of paralegal experience in plaintiff personal injury, employment law, or medical malpractice.
- Proficiency in trial preparation, calendaring, docketing, and managing discovery for high-value cases.
- Familiarity with legal research tools and document management software.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Paralegal certification or degree in legal studies preferred.
