Position Requirements & QualificationsSunstate is a proud Second Chance employer that evaluates every candidate on a case-by-case basis.
- A minimum of 5 years of equipment rental industry experience in an Outside Sales role is required.
- Previous experience and proven success record managing and growing national accounts is preferred.
- Must possess a high level of sales and customer relation skills.
- Strong financial and business acumen, data driven and high level of analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills - verbal, written and presentation.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with the National Account Manager.
- Excellent planning, multi-tasking, and time management skills
- Must be able to meet performance, productivity, and efficiency standards.
- Travel Required: 20-25% annually

Working ConditionsFast paced working environment that requires thorough planning of daily sales calls and sales strategies for the assigned customer segment. The work is completed both inside and outside with exposure to the general range of weather, traffic, and construction jobsite conditions. There is exposure to chemicals such as gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, and cleaning solvents. Required to load / unload and transport equipment when necessary. There should be an awareness of inherent risk and exposure of the job, working amongst large industrial equipment, on construction or other job sites and chemicals/fuel, etc. Each employee has a duty to be fully alert (unimpaired physically or mentally) and capable of regularly working safely in.
Duties and Responsibilities- Securing orders, locating new customers, planning sales calls, and making presentations demonstrating the advantages of our equipment
- Building strong business relationships through respect for the customers and a sincere desire to service his needs
- Establishing and maintaining personal relations with customers
- Solving customers' problems and providing assistance to product application
- Keeping customers up to date on new products in company fleet
- Familiarizing with new products out in the industry and informing management of customer's product needs as they arise
- Regular and accurate reporting and documenting (using the company systems e.g. CRM) all prospecting and sales activity
- Maintaining a high degree of sales professionalism through independent study and market research
- Price negotiation and rate exception reviews
- Regular attendance and active participation at Branch Safety meetings
