Job DescriptionAbout The RoleExciting opportunity for an experienced a Senior Workplace engineer who will handle Tier 1 and 2 support cases across multiple locations, including travel to Hansen offices, data centers, and client offices, when required, keep systems updated, perform security patching, and manage Incident & Request tickets within the agreed business SLAs. This position will manage ON/OFF-Boarding requests, share knowledge, and produce reports to then share with the Workplace team and the Global Workplace Manager.
About You - You have strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving IT challenges that is backed by your excellent communication abilities.
- You have a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or related equivalent experience and certifications.
- You will have previous experience in an on-site and/or remote IT Support, User/device access management & security tools with Microsoft Systems & Products including but not limited to:
- Windows
- MS 365 Admin Centre
- Azure
- Entra ID
- Active Directory
- SharePoint
- OneDrive
- You will bring knowledge of multiple levels of technology support including but not limited to:
- Atlassian; including, Jira, Confluence, Tempo
- VDIs & VMs
- Group Policies
- DHCP
- DNS
- TCP/IP
- Backup systems
- PowerShell
- Asset management
- Vendor Management
- You have 2 years of experience in a similar role and appropriate tertiary qualifications and passion for IT Support and working in a modern software development business that is customer-centric.
- You bring knowledge in Systems licenses; including, Microsoft & Docker Licenses, MacOS devices and systems, working iwth Mobile devices; including, iOS and Android, SentinelOne, Zscaler, Beyond Trust, ProofPoint, Global Protect, ITSM and Ticketing systems
Key Responsibilities The Senior Workplace Engineer is responsible for working within Hansen's IT Services department to:
- You will be responsible for Tier 1, and 2 support cases across multiple locations, travel to Hansen offices, data centers, and client offices, when required, keep systems updated, perform security patching, and manage Incident & Request tickets within the agreed business SLAs.
- You provide quality support and services to internal and external business units and clients while ensuring smooth operation of Hansen's IT systems that will minimize downtime and enhance productivity by delivering efficient and effective technical resolutions & solutions within agreed business SLA
- You will assist end-users with IT-related problems by resolving technical issues through calls, emails, and correspondence that may include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining security & network infrastructures.
- You act as a back-up point of escalation, prior to escalation to: the Hansen Global Workplace Manager, other Hansen IT & Business teams and out Service Provider(s).
- Your role also includes participating in and leading ad hoc IT projects, as well as creating and implementing Change Requests using standard Change Management processes.
- As a junior level Workplace Engineer you are responsible for implementing Hansen's policies and regulations and involves coordinating with Hansen and its customer support business teams to gather data, install, configure as well as support laptops, desktops, printers and mobile devices, when required.
