Medical Assistant

Lewisville Texas

Full-time 4-6 months Contract.


Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide clinical and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our Clinical Research Facility. This role involves working directly with healthcare providers, clinical research site and patients to deliver excellent care and enhance the patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients to the site, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, recording medical history, and addressing initial concerns.
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
  • Perform phlebotomy and blood draws, ensuring proper sample labeling and handling.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests, collect and prepare laboratory specimens, and administer medications or injections as directed (based on state regulations).
  • Conducting other diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Support front desk operations, including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and verifying insurance information.
  • Maintain and updating patient records in compliance with confidentiality laws and clinic policies.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers, staff, and external partners to streamline patient care.


Desired Experience:

  • Must be Phlebotomy Certified.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant Certification (CMA/RMA) preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or clinic setting, particularly in phlebotomy.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
