SUMMARY:
The Sr. Contracts Specialist supports and coordinates Contracts Department functions at an advanced administrative level. Leads team projects, reviews, drafts and helps negotiate customer and vendor agreements, including managed services SOWs, makes process improvement recommendations to management, and works independently to resolve daily departmental issues.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review, summarize, and negotiate terms of customer and vendor contracts, amendments, and work orders.
- Ability to interpret terms of a contract, identify risk, and communicate terms concisely and in layman’s terms.
- Review, draft and negotiate managed services Statements of Work (SOWs) and other complex service offering agreements.
- Ability to advise teams on proper construction of contracts involving multiple entities (US based and international), lines of business, and onshore/offshore services.
- Preparation of contract overviews; lead contract kickoff calls and act as subject matter expert on contract terms.
- Understand functions of all departments enterprise-wide to effectively make decisions and recommendations.
- Actively participate in team meetings and lead discussions.
- Create department process documentation and reference guides as needed.
- Assist in daily coaching and development of other Contracts team members.
- Provide guidance on contract matters to sales, HR and management as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate should have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3-5 years’ prior experience as a Contracts Administrator or similar contracts role
- Proven experience negotiating IT services staffing or managed services contracts
- Demonstrated understanding of risk and security issues in staffing and managed services contracts for IT services.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing and negotiating complex contracts such as MSP programs, professional services, or licensing agreements involving multiple parties or international entities.
- Working knowledge of corporate law, including types of entities, DBA’s, and affiliates
- Staffing industry or IT managed services experience required
- Very strong reading comprehension skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

CAREER PROGRESSION:
Typically, has 2+ years of experience in Level 2 position before progressing to Level 3; this progression may occur if the Level 3 entry criteria are met, the Level 2 employee has consistently performed to high standards and progression has been approved by the Enterprise Department leader and HR.
