The HR Manager is expected to:
• Drive and deliver HR strategic initiatives for the BYD operations.
• Establish recruitment requirements by studying organization plans and objectives, and meeting with managers to discuss needs.
• Recruit high quality talent for open positions; participate in the screening and interview process; participate in hiring decisions and prepare offer letters.
• Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport.
• Deal with complex disciplinary/grievance and HR issues, using HR and company knowledge evidencing appropriate decision-making skills, reviewing, guiding, and approving management recommendation for employment termination.
• Determine and recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.
• Coach and train managers in their communication, feedback, recognition, and interaction responsibilities with the employees who report to them.
• Conduct investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.
• Review ADP benefits package with new hires.
• Lead and responsible for overall management of Safety Policy, Safety Program, and Safety Committee
• Overall management of timekeeping and Overtime Approval.
• Manage all aspects of employee compensation reviews program.
• Responsible for the ISO 9100 HR requirements.
• Responsible for liaison with BYD headquarters based in Shenzhen, China.
• Responsible for overseeing administration work.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
The HR Manager manages all employees of the HR department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
TRAVEL
Little or No travel is expected for this position.

• REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years Human Resources experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bilingual (English/Mandarin) required
• Ability to develop trusting relationships with the team.
• Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
ADDITIONAL ELEGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, OR SHRM-SCP certification preferred
