Job Title: Technical Support Specialist
Location: Salem, Missouri
Hybrid position – 3 days weekly onsite, 8am - 5pm CST x 3 days 11am - 8pm CST x 2 days
Contract to hire position, eligible after 90 days
Pay rate: $25.00 – 27.25/hr.
Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team. This role involves identifying, managing, escalating, and resolving technical issues, as well as installing and configuring software, print drivers, and utilities on workstations and computer networks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting IT issues, including software, hardware, and networking, and will be responsible for monitoring installed systems, identifying problems, and taking corrective action.
Responsibilities:
Provide basic technical support to US Foods Clients.
Troubleshoot application issues and perform basic diagnostics of desktop/laptop software problems.
Identify, manage, escalate, and resolve technical issues.
Install and configure software, print drivers, utilities, etc., to be utilized on workstations and computer networks.
Troubleshoot all information technology issues, including software, hardware, and networking.
Monitor installed systems, identify problems, and take corrective action.
Qualifications and Education:
1 - 3 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
1 - 3 years of customer service experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment and commit to a flexible work schedule.
Skills Required:
Strong user and support skills for MS Office.
Experience with desktop applications and help desk technical support.
Excellent customer service skills.
