We seek a talented Microbiologist who possesses multiple years of related job experience. Our Microbiologists do important work that provides high quality, defensible data for our clients. In this role you’ll use state-of-the-art equipment & instruments to generate analytical data supporting environmental compliance and decision making. This position involves working with the aseptic technique, pour plate method & multi-tube fermentation.

Role Summary
Generate, review and approve analytical data supporting environmental compliance and decision making in our Microbiology Lab . You'll demonstrate your problem solving capabilities and desire for continual learning, while helping to protect public health and preserve the environment.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Collaborate with team members and lab leadership to achieve dept. goals.
- Execute preparation and analysis on client samples while maintaining quality, turnaround time and output standards.
- Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of Laboratory systems, equipment, instrumentation and technology including basic regulatory programs and client specific needs relative to assigned analyses.
- Assess out of control data or analytical systems and propose sound root causes based on experience and research into aspects such as regulations and technology.
- Identify, investigate and correct basic instrument or method performance issues across multiple technologies.
- Present investigation plans, data, and conclusions via investigation reports.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science or related area preferred; Associate’s degree; OR equivalent experience
- At least 4 years of microbiology lab analysis job experience, outside of academia or internships. Starting pay depends on credentials.
