The Occupational Therapist (OT) is an active participant in the interdisciplinary team. The OT meets the requirements of all internal and external regulatory bodies. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.nnOther information:nnRequired Job Qualifications:nn•Initial Certification by NBCOT as an OTRnn•Meets all state regulatory requirementsnn•Graduate of an accredited ACOTE OT Program.nn•Basic computer skills.nnPhysical Demands:nn•Must be able to lift, carry, and move items up to 20 pounds.nn•Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and push while assisting with patient care.nnResponsibilities:nnDirects the evaluation process including determining the need for services, defining problems within the domain of OT, determine goals, and establishes treatment priorities.nnInterprets the information provided by the Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) and integrates the information into the evaluation as appropriate.nnDevelops the intervention plan in collaboration with all team members.nnImplements the intervention plan.nnDetermines the need to modify, continue or discontinue services.nnSelects implements and makes modifications to therapeutic activities and interventions that are consistent with competency levels and client goals and their social-cultural context.nnDelegates responsibilities to COTA within guidelines of RUMC.nnMaintains departmental productivity standards.nnDemonstrates ability to safely lift and/or move therapy equipment.nnDemonstrates ability to maintain patient safety.nnDemonstrates the ICARE values with patients, colleagues, and interdisciplinary team members.nnAdheres to policies and procedures.nnMaintains accurate and timely patient documentation.nnParticipates in continuous quality improvement processes and program evaluation.nnSupervises OT practicum, level I and level II OT students and other students as directed.nnProvides proof of completed documents related to health and education requirements.nnIdentifies and pursues own professional growth and development.nnFunctions according to the AOTA Code of Ethics and standards of the profession.nnSupports the practice of practitioner-teacher-investigator model by teaching and following evidenced based practice.nnRush is an equal opportunity employer.
