Position Overview



We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Human Resources as an integral member of the group’s executive team. As the top Human Resources executive for the organization, this role will focus on talent development, career planning and performance monitoring, and Human Resources strategy and compliance across the organization. This Director will be a champion of the group’s mission statement, ensuring that its operations provide a first-class and transparent dealership experience in an industry-best, merit-based work culture. The ideal candidate will have a passion for nurturing talent and creating a positive workplace culture through training, recruiting, and development in support of 21 businesses with various brands, markets, and operational demands.



Key Responsibilities



  • Talent Development:
  • Design and implement talent development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Conduct regular assessments to identify training needs and opportunities for professional development.
  • Mentor and coach employees to help them achieve their career goals.
  • Oversight of the group’s newly developed Talent University at their corporate headquarters.
  • Primary architect of group-wide training and development programs that will maximize employee performance and encourage career development across the organization.
  • Career Planning:
  • Develop and manage career planning initiatives to support employee advancement within the company.
  • Collaborate with department heads to create clear career paths and succession plans.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on career progression and development opportunities.
  • Primary architect of group-wide performance monitoring processes to ensure employee performance and encourage opportunities for career growth across the organization’s footprint within a merit-based framework.
  • Recruiting:
  • Oversee the recruitment process to attract and retain top talent.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local educational institutions and professional organizations to source potential candidates.
  • Implement effective onboarding processes to ensure new hires are integrated smoothly into the company.
  • Training:
  • Design and deliver comprehensive training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure training programs are current and relevant.
  • Employee Relations:
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and effective manner.
  • Promote open communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization.



Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on talent development, career planning, recruiting, and training.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and legal requirements.
  • Operational management experience highly preferred.
