The Role:

The Project Control (PC) Specialist will be responsible for leading a variety of Finance functions including budget planning, pricing, invoicing, and reporting activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong interpersonal skills, Finance technical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating a positive and supportive workplace culture. This role reports directly to the CFO.


Key Day to Day Responsibilities:

In this role, you are entrusted with the following responsibilities:

  • Monitoring, tracking, analyzing, and reporting on program financials on various programs varying in size and complexity.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing any issues that arise with attention to spent metrics and backlog reporting.
  • Collaborate with project teams in all duties related to financial and performance planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Assist with managing subcontractor and consultant hours/costs and address funding needs and monitor invoicing.
  • Assist with managing FYI’s invoicing to the customers (invoice reconciliation).
  • Assist with completion of accurate submissions of customer financial deliverables.
  • With support, complete accurate submission of customer financial deliverables to include EACs/ETCs, spend plans, CFSRs.
  • Prepare budgets for all contract work and assist in financial analysis including preparing funding profiles, revenue outlook, and variance analyses.
  • Support project managers in tracking project milestones and deliverables.
  • Support proposal managers in the review or RFPs and preparation of pricing models.
  • Support Contracts team in maintaining detailed and organized records of all contracts and related documentation.
  • Perform special projects as assigned Familiarity with finance systems eFAACT, QuickBooks Online and GovConPay and TechnoMile contracts module a plus.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field including Finance, Business, Accounting preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in project finance/program control in support of government contracts and projects.
  • Experience in proposal pricing support, price analysis, and market research utilizing salary tools.
  • United States citizenship and the ability to obtain a US government security clearance.
  • Familiarity with contract administration in the support of government projects.
  • Familiarity with government contract types (CPFF, FFP, T&M, etc.).
  • Understanding of financial management concepts such as funding, revenue, cost, profit, billed/unbilled AR, subcontracts, purchase orders, etc.
  • Ability to work well with project personnel, accounting, and contracts to successfully execute projects.
  • Experience with financial modeling, including funding analyses, and cost and revenue projections.
  • Ability to be a team player, work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Ability to think analytically, conduct trend analysis, and accomplish financial forecasts based on bottoms-up analysis and historical trends.
  • Knowledge of MS Office—must be proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills and must be able to work independently and collaboratively, and can multitask.
