Our client is seeking immediate assistance in identifying a candidate for a Product Development Engineer direct hire position in Berne, IN.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure the release of accurate and error-free 3D and 2D designs, with proper tolerancing.
• Verify consistency between engineering BOMs and ERP BOMs before release.
• Develop and manage project timelines while maintaining accountability to expectations.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure timely completion of all action items.
• Provide support to engineers in troubleshooting and problem-solving as needed.
• Maintain department standards, records, and documentation.
• Collaborate with the Manager to develop and implement training plans.
• Offer input and participate in performance reviews in coordination with the Manager.

Must have:

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in ME, MET, or another engineering discipline
• 3D Design experience (Inventor is preferred)
• Ideally would have 6+ years of experience
• Ability to understand GD&T, machining, manufacturing processes and methods, and ability to read blueprints or sketches
• Someone coming from low volume, high margin machining.
