Job Description
As a Senior Electrical Engineer , you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and optimization of electronic systems, particularly focusing on UAVs. The role emphasizes designing Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), managing high-power electrical systems, and integrating advanced battery technologies. You will collaborate across teams to ensure the functionality, reliability, and efficiency of UAV electronic systems while adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
This is an on-site, hands-on role based in El Segundo, CA, with working hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities
PCB Design & Development:
- Design and implement PCBs from concept to production, ensuring adherence to technical specifications.
- Perform schematic capture, thorough reviews, and PCB layout and routing using CAD software.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, including assembly drawings and BOMs.
System Testing & Validation:
- Design and assemble test equipment and fixtures for subsystem validation and debugging.
- Conduct design verification, stress testing, thermal analysis, and EMC/EMI compliance testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during the development and production phases.
High-Power Systems & Battery Integration:
- Lead integration and management of battery systems for UAV applications, ensuring safety and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on electrical architecture for UAV systems.
- Generate cable harness drawings and assist in system integration.
Regulatory Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all designs meet regulatory standards and contribute to certification documentation.
- Regularly document work in company systems to retain institutional knowledge.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in robotics or related fields.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in PCB schematic design, routing, and testing tools (Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Logic Analyzers).
- Advanced knowledge of Altium, KiCAD, Python, and C/C++.
- Experience with ESC systems, BLDC motors, and Battery Management Systems.

- Strong leadership and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.
Language:
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
