Responsibilities:

• Design, analyze, and optimize AC power systems for ships, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
• Perform Arcflash analysis to assess electrical system safety and implement necessary protection measures
• Develop and manage control systems for shipboard electrical operations, ensuring efficiency and reliability
• Create detailed electrical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD
• Use ETAP software to model and analyze electrical power systems, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting potential issues
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, including pivot tables and performance reporting to monitor electrical system performance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field
• Strong experience with AC power systems design and analysis in a marine environment
• Proficiency in ETAP software for electrical power system modeling and analysis
• Experience with Arcflash analysis and implementing electrical safety measures
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating and interpreting electrical system schematics
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables for data analysis and system performance tracking

Nice to Have:

• Experience with control systems for shipboard electrical applications
• Eligibility for EIT or P.Eng
• Familiarity with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental considerations in marine electrical engineering

Salary Range: $70-125k/year
