ROLE SUMMARY

The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for direct management of branch operations. They will assist the Branch Manager in fostering a positive environment and ensuring client satisfaction and proper branch operation. In the absence of the Branch Manager, the Assistant Branch Manager will serve as the leader and main point of contact for the entirety of the Branch.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organizes workflow, delegates assignments and provides direct supervision to branch staff.
  • Ensures work is performed accurately and is completed within required timeframes.
  • Oversees custody and control of cash and related records.
  • May perform back up to customer service functions, as required, accepting deposits and handling cash transactions.
  • May assume duties of Branch Manager in his/her absence.
  • Provides direct on-the-job training and guidance to less experienced staff. Responds to questions; solves problems; and deals with high volume customers.
  • Performs other duties as required.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required Education/Experience:

  • High school, or general education degree.
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in financial institution operations, customer service and/or sales capacity.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, and other Bank operational policies; and general office practices.
  • Intermediate knowledge of personal computer operations, including word processing and spreadsheet software programs.
  • Intermediate knowledge of branch operation activities, terminology and products and services relating to retail and commercial account customers.
