An award-winning restaurant group in NYC is seeking a talented and experienced Maitre d'.Renowned for delivering exceptional hospitality, we are looking for a dynamic leader with a proven track record in managing front-of-house teams, creating memorable guest experiences, and fostering a welcoming and refined dining atmosphere. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping service excellence within a respected and thriving organization.

Maître d' is the first point of contact for our guests and  works closely with the management teams to ensure that all guests have pleasurable dining experiences.  Our ideal candidate has a gracious and accommodating approach that comes easily to them.

This position   requires availability on weekends and holidays.

  Requirements for Success

  • Consistently exude a warm, approachable demeanor that creates a hospitable and inviting atmosphere for guests.
  • Demonstrate a genuine eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow professionally.
  • Previous experience in a Maître d' role, with a deep understanding of service excellence and guest engagement.
  • Communicate with clarity, composure, and precision, even in high-pressure situations.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, guide, and support a team effectively.
  • Proficiency in managing reservation systems such as Resy, OpenTable, or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong ability to manage and maintain the seamless flow of service throughout the dining experience.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.

Guest Service 

  • Ensure all guests consistently receive courteous and efficient service. 
  • Respond positively and promptly to guest concerns and complaints. 
  • Communicate any food allergy or special nutrition needs to kitchen team. 
  • Maintain a welcoming and orderly restaurant environment. 
  • Build relationships with repeat guests.
