Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct operational rounds and ensure accurate electronic log entries, detailing actions taken during the shift.
  • Prepare equipment for maintenance tasks using Lock-Out, Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures and assist in scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Participate in walkarounds, informal LOTO and HSE safety audits to ensure safe work practices are followed.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety protocols, contributing to a safety-focused culture on-site.
  • Support safety meetings, conduct handovers with the incoming/outgoing team, and contribute to ongoing safety improvements.
  • Team Collaboration & Mentoring:

  • Actively participate in team discussions to share knowledge and improve operational practices.
  • Housekeeping & Documentation:

  • Document activities accurately and ensure compliance with operational standards and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of operational experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Minimum 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate.
  • Ability to perform essential duties, troubleshoot, and operate equipment within the SAGD facility environment.
  • Preferred:
  • 3-5 years of relevant operating experience.
  • Previous experience in a SAGD operation.
  • 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate or higher.
  • Familiarity with LOTO procedures, condition monitoring, and safety auditing practices.
  • Additional Requirements:
  • A valid Class 5 driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments.
