Senior Proposals Coordinator
Sequence is seeking a dynamic, driven individual with a combination of proposals writing, management, and marketing experience to take on the role of Senior Proposal Coordinator charged with managing proposal engagements throughout the northern California and pacific western area.
Our client organization specializes in land development and heavy civil engineering. As one of California’s largest employee-owned independent development, civil engineering, and construction firms they’ve been expanding aggressively through organic growth throughout the region in recent years. In fact, their operation has achieved significant success, growing steadily and adding a number of high-profile clients and projects. With this growth has come the need to continuously build internal resources and add technical skill sets.
This has resulted in a number of wildly expanded opportunities being presented to the firm and leadership if they have the bandwidth to take on and address the challenges associated with tackling them. Chiefly among these is development of producing high-end business proposals, often times in partnership with channel teaming relationships to expand their own traditional efforts as well as tie in high level venture opportunities of the parent organization.
Today they’re seeking a proven and capable proposals development professional to head up their proposal development efforts by creating formalized operations for generating, ferreting, vetting and formalizing new business development proposals that generate new sales and increase market share in a variety of market sectors.
This requires strategic experience and working with executive management to create proposal objectives and construct well-defined policies for administering the project proposals within the organizations core service offerings.
While the role is in the engineering and construction domain, the organization does not require previous experience working in the field. Key for them is finding a capable and refined professional that can develop the proposals, they the internal professionals and technical talent to add industry specific language. So, a professional from any industry domain could be a good fit to the role so long as they have the ability to adapt and learn a new market and services.
Ideally, this the individual holding the role would also be professional capable of working with technical and company leadership to identify which are the most suitable service, products and support functions to offer for each market segment and work collaboratively with personnel to create appropriate marketing, sales and messaging documents.
The ideal candidate will have at least three to five (3-5+) years of proposal development and management experience.
