Job Description

Apex Systems is looking to add MULTIPLE Customer Service Representatives to join our esteemed client located in San Diego , CA . We are looking to screen and submit qualified candidates immediately.

Location: San Diego, CA

Compensation : $20-23/hr ($30-34.50/hr for overtime hours when/if applicable)

Schedule : M-F normal business hours

Benefits : Health, dental, vision, 401k, and a weekly pay structure

Position Overview: This role involves performing billing, reconciliation, maintenance, and customer service functions within the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and research databases to generate and distribute contracts and member information.
  • Identify, research, and reconcile billing payments.
  • Set up and maintain member data.
  • Ensure bills are accurate and mailed on time by interacting with benefit administrators to answer questions and explain Health Plan policies.
  • Resolve related issues.
  • Assist Health Plan contacts, sales, and service representatives in analyzing and resolving accounting-related problems.
  • Resolve payment discrepancies and delinquencies.
  • Provide office services support, including but not limited to picking up, sorting, and delivering mail, filing and retrieving documents, ordering and distributing office supplies, and performing miscellaneous facilities maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers and vendors to resolve support services issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferences and Requirements:

  • Minimum high school diploma required, BS degree is excellent.
  • 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 1 year of customer service experience over the phone required.
  • 6 months of data entry experience required.
  • Proficiency in math, data entry, typing, spelling, and grammar (tests required).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment.
  • Proven track record in customer service.
  • Ability to diagnose, analyze, and solve a variety of quantitative and qualitative problems.
  • Clear and professional communication skills.
  • Experience with PC Windows.
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and adapt to new business requirements.
  • Excellent conflict resolution and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to work productively on multiple tasks.
  • Flexibility in adapting to change and shifting priorities.
