WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Obtain and file documents, complete permit forms, apply for licenses and HRSD, and complete required reports to facilitate the permit application process
• Serve as the primary Point of Contact between the company and municipalities permitting department ensuring all permits are processed in a timely manner and escalate complex concerns
• Review plans issued for correct revision dates and review start packages for accuracy in accordance with established procedures and checklists
• Prepare check requests, process invoice payment documentation, and ensure accuracy
• Track and monitor data for various permits such as building, design review, standard plan, plan changes, and amendment permits to report on project schedule
• Produce and maintain schedules for all communities and coordinate with municipalities from approval to final stages of permitting process
• Prepare permitting documents for start packages, plans, specifications or documentation for Construction Managers
• Create start requests based on predetermined site-specific information and communicate as needed
• Request approval from Architectural Review Boards regarding predetermined design requirements
• Assist in investigating and documenting new or updated municipality permitting processes

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in permitting, project coordinator, or similar role required
• Experience with single/multi-family and amenity permitting preferred
• Construction knowledge including blueprints, construction process, and permitting experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships and strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills; Detail-oriented team player; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with heavy volume
• Ability to meet reporting deadlines, self-start and achieve objectives with minimal supervision
• Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite Products
• Possess and maintain a valid state driver's license
