The Technical Sales Assistant is responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service for both internal and external customers in a sales-related function.

Responsibilities

• Support Field Sales Representatives, customers, and distributors within defined territory.
• Create and share technical proposals and quotations.
• Facilitate the value-added solutions quotation process.
• Act as project management support for complex sales opportunities both with external partners (customers, distributors) and internal support organizations (Engineering, Product Management, Operations, etc.)
• Temporarily provide customer support in the event of a gap of coverage in the Field Sales organization.
• Assist customers directly with technical information, recommending substitutions, and addressing application questions.
• If needed, manage customer portal administration.
• Coordinate with Finance & Operations to ensure completion of customer documentation requests.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience Required

• Previous sales experience, preferably in an industrial setting
• Proven technical aptitude in electrical products
• Strong communication, organizational and time management skills
• Ability to embrace change and be successful in a dynamic environment
• Effective time management and organizational skills

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in business, industrial distribution, or related degree
