Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Detroit, Michigan. This travel opportunity is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Responsibilities:
- Perform initial patient screening, obtain vital signs, and record patient history in the EHR.
- Assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments, including medication and immunization administration, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Manage patient communication, respond to requests, and schedule appointments and procedures, including obtaining insurance pre-authorizations.
- Conduct various tests (e.g., phlebotomy, electrocardiography, respiratory testing) and process specimens.
- Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans while maintaining compliance with safety, regulatory, and HFHS standards.
Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant program graduate with clinical externship (160 hours) or one year of clinical experience in the past five years,
- OR Current Medical Assistant Certification with five years of clinical experience,
- OR LPN, EMT, or military-trained medical personnel with one year of clinical experience in the past five years.

- Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA/CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA).

Pay Range: $20 - $21,40 / hour
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
