Our client in Bellaire, Texas is seeking a Call Center Representative on a 3 month contract basis.

Off at 3pm on Friday


Call Center Representative Role:

The Call Center Representative will provide excellent customer service by responding to telephone calls, emails, and inquiries in a timely manner

Schedule appointments for patients either by phone when they call in or via email for multiple providers

Register new patient (demographics, contact info, and insurance info) and update existing patients into Practice Management System

Documents all relevant conversations in EMR related to planned care, patient questions/concerns or follow up forwarding to provider or clinical team if medically related

Ask appropriate information to route calls to the appropriate person

Gathers appropriate information needed to verify insurance

Identifies insurance plans contacted with different providers in the group

Performs short evaluation of the patient situation to estimate severity and urgency of problem, and directs the call as necessary or helps patient find solutions

Verifies insurance for next day or same day appointments

Explain monthly specials


Call Center Representative Background Profile:

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum one year of experience in an appointment scheduling position or customer service position, preferably in a medical practice setting

Ability to competently use Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and appropriate practice management software.

Knowledge of customer service principles and techniques

Ability to communicate clearly with many different levels of staff

Ability to prevent, calm, and/or defuse irate callers and patients working with them to identify concerns and properly directs calls
