IIS Support Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA On-site
Job Description:
We are looking for a Windows Application Support Engineer with strong system and application skills to work with our customers to support enterprise applications. The successful candidate will become a member of the Integration Services team within the Information Technology Department.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support and engineering of custom and COTS applications running on Windows Server and for supporting applications running in IIS on the Windows infrastructure.
Required skills:
- 3 - 5 years of experience supporting Windows Applications and Web Application Server Administration in a corporate environment.
- Expert in Microsoft IIS and web application support. Understanding of application pools.
- Strong experience supporting and troubleshooting .NET applications on Web Servers.
- Advanced Windows application and OS troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- MUST have strong hands-on experience with Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 and application upgrades.
- Experience with Windows patching.
- Intermediate scripting skills (PowerShell/VB Script).
- Experience supporting highly available applications using Microsoft Clustering and network load balancing.
- MUST be well rounded, possess maturity, vision, and a depth of experience that allows for grasping of issues quickly and making educated, critical judgments/decisions in the absence of complete information.
- MUST be able to work in a fast-paced 24x7 environment with on-call duties as required and must possess the ability to work with a diverse, high-performance team.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
Desired skills:
- Microsoft FTP Server and/or GlobalScape Enhanced File Transfer.
- Experience with implementing infrastructure supporting application containers.
- Experience with implementing automation to enable agile development.
Education: 4-yr College degree (in Computer Science, MIS, or related field) is desired
