We are seeking a Systems Engineer to provide expert-level network and server administration, security management, and IT infrastructure support. This role requires a highly skilled professional with strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent client communication, and the ability to manage high-pressure IT environments. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical background in Microsoft network and server technologies, with experience in firewall configuration, security management, virtualization, and cloud solutions.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft network and server administration (Active Directory, Windows Server 2012-2022).
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint) and cloud environments (Azure or AWS experience a plus).
- Strong knowledge of networking principles including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN configuration.
- Firewall & Security expertise, including configuring and maintaining security products, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, ensuring system reliability and security.
- Outstanding client communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Essential Duties
- Network & Server Administration: Manage and support Microsoft Active Directory environments (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022), Windows Remote Desktop Services (RDS), and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
- Security & Firewall Management: Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and security solutions including Antivirus, Antispyware, and Antispam tools to ensure system integrity and data protection.
- Cloud & Microsoft 365 Administration: Oversee Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Network Infrastructure & Virtualization: Maintain and troubleshoot Cisco or Cisco Meraki network devices (switching, routing, VPNs) and virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Implement and manage backup solutions, ensuring data security and business continuity.
- Client Support & Troubleshooting: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, diagnosing complex IT issues, providing tailored solutions, and ensuring smooth IT operations.
- Case Management & Documentation: Utilize ticketing systems to log, track, and resolve technical issues while maintaining meticulous documentation of work performed.
- Process Improvement & Best Practices: Identify opportunities for system enhancements, implement efficiency improvements, and ensure industry best practices are followed.
Education:
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree in a related field. Certifications are a plus.
Certifications :
- Preferred certifications include Network+, Security+, MCSE, and CCNA.
