Role Description

We are seeking an organized and proactive Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. This role will involve collaborating with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards. The Project Engineer will assist in managing the technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring smooth operations on-site and adherence to engineering specifications.


Responsibilities

·       Assist in the development and management of project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and scope of work.

·       Coordinate and track project progress, ensuring that activities are completed as scheduled and within budget.

·       Monitor and manage project costs, including reviewing invoices and ensuring cost-effective resource utilization.

·       Collaborate with the project team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and clear communication across all parties.

·       Support the maintenance of high standards of quality, safety, and compliance with all applicable engineering specifications, building codes, and regulations.

·       Identify potential risks such as delays, safety issues, and budget concerns, and proactively implement strategies to mitigate these risks.

·       Provide technical support and guidance to project teams to resolve issues and ensure adherence to design and engineering requirements.

·       Assist in managing project schedules and timelines, making adjustments as needed to avoid delays and ensure milestones are met.

·       Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to safety, environmental standards, and construction codes.

·       Maintain accurate project documentation, including technical reports, progress logs, change orders, and other relevant records.

·       Support problem-solving efforts, addressing on-site challenges to ensure project continuity and timely delivery.


Qualifications and Skills

·       Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

·       Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction management or a similar role.

·       Strong technical knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.

·       Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project).

·       Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, clients, and subcontractors.

·       Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with attention to detail in all aspects of the project.

·       Experience with budgeting, cost management, and financial tracking.

·       Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

·       Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

·       Familiarity with construction industry regulations and compliance standards.

·       Certification such as PMP, LEED, or similar is a plus.

·       Ability to work in field setting and visit job sites, including in varying weather conditions.

·       Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check



Wage & Benefits

This is a full-time hourly position with Competitive pay

Hourly range: $25.00+ (commensurate with experience)
