This position can be located in either Atlanta, GA or Phenix City, AL.


SUMMARY


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior HR Manager to lead and align our HR strategies with business objectives across the United States, Europe, and China. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in global HR management within the CPG industry, providing strategic direction, delivering operational support, and fostering cultural alignment while effectively supporting both hourly and salaried employees across our geographically diverse workforce.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Partner with executive leadership to design and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Oversee HR policies, procedures, and compliance to ensure adherence to local labor laws and global best practices.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR counterpart to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to support managers, including coaching, counseling, career development, and guidance on disciplinary actions.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Assist with processing of new hires, promotions, transfers and terminations.
  • Lead workforce planning, organizational design, and succession planning to support evolving business needs.
  • Identify training needs for business and workforce development. May conduct training.
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.


EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE


  • Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of related professional work experience OR equivalent related work experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree plus professional work experience. Preferable fields of study include Human Resources or Business Administration.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • HRIS System: Paylocity experience a plus
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential a plus
