Key Responsibilities:
Category Strategy Development
- Develop comprehensive category strategies and plans that align with overall business objectives.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of category strategies with company goals.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to optimize cost and quality.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive business reviews for top tier suppliers and address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Drive supplier scorecards and utilization of supplier portal
Category Performance Optimization
- Analyze category performance metrics and implement actions to improve profitability and market share.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within the category.
- Work closely with business partners, legal, finance, and compliance to ensure seamless execution of category plans.
- Provide category insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
- Lead cross-functional projects related to category management initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in category management, procurement, or a related role.
- Previous experience working in technology sector or SaaS is preferred.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful category strategies.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
