Our client, in the Manufacturing Industry is seeking a Safety Supervisor to join their team!!!

The ideal candidate will have the following experience which will align successfully within the company organization.

Job Title: Safety/Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Pomona, CA

Pay Rate: $85,000 Annually

Must be: Bilingual English/Spanish

What’s the Job?

• Supervise assigned staff, establishing and communicating performance expectations, provide positive/constructive feedback, performance reviews, training and development, hiring/terminating decisions while conforming to company policies and procedures.
• Must have experience with NAICS Codes
• Supervise and coordinate the maintenance and repairs to physical structures and utility systems including electrical wiring, heating, plumbing. Repair and maintenance of all equipment including forklifts and facility maintenance outdoor and indoor. Inspect completed work for conformance to standards.
• Requisition tools and machinery, equipment and maintenance supplies as needed.
• Operate as first contact for all workplace injuries, Investigate all incidents and maintain Workers Compensation incident logs, Issue and record distributions of PPE, conduct daily walk through of plant and monitoring compliance of all safety rules while reporting infractions to the appropriate department manager and Director of Human Resources, maintain injury and and illness prevention program (IIPP)
• Inspect and document hazardous waste area findings weekly, participate in weekly 5S's inspection with Plant Manager. Monitor and replenish inventory of PPE and first supplies, Inspect fire extinguishers monthly and certify correct pressure on gauges. Schedule monthly Department Manager safety meetings. Collect and compile required data for OSHA, conduct annual LA County Fire Department inspections including CUPA, HazMat, Generator Program, Fire Marshall inspection and Hazardous Materials Division Inspection.
• Process Cal-EPA verification questionnaire and manifest fees, Assist with security issues as needed and perform other related duties as assigned.

What’s Needed?

• Must be Bilingual English and Spanish
• Must have 3-5 years experience as Safety Supervisor
• Graduation from an accredited college or university-Combination of education and equivalent experience preferred.
• Must have OSHA and NAICS experience
• Experience managing a Safety Program required
• Supervisory experience in a manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of construction, plumbing, electrical, repairs and painting.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook
