We are seeking a passionate and experienced Product Designer to oversee a portfolio of product teams. You will identify patterns and use cases across the portfolio to enhance the user experience and align teams around a human-centric roadmap. You will leverage design thinking, user research, and business strategy to drive product development. Collaborating closely with product owners, product managers, and fellow designers is crucial to this role.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and lead design thinking sessions with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Conduct generative user research, including contextual inquiry, ethnography, field research, user interviews, and stakeholder interviews.
- Translate user research findings into actionable assets such as affinity walls, journey maps, empathy maps, storyboards, and personas.
- Clearly articulate and justify research strategies and insights to stakeholders with varying levels of UX understanding.
- Collaborate effectively with business partners, product managers, developers, and fellow designers.
- Mentor, teach, and provide leadership to fellow designers and team members.
- Champion UX principles within the team and across the department.
Experience Required:
- 3+ years of proven experience in UX, product management, or a combination of both.
- 2+ years of experience in user research.
- 2+ years of experience facilitating design thinking and ideation workshops.
- Proficiency in: User Research, Wireframing/Mockups, Prototyping, Usability Testing, Task Flow, Information Architecture, Peer Leadership, Team Collaboration, and Project Management.
Experience Preferred:
- A strong desire to continuously learn, tackle challenging problems, and share knowledge with others.
- Strong research skills, leadership abilities, and a diverse range of experience.
- 3+ years of relevant product management experience.
- Proven ability to build credibility and trust with team members and senior leaders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Prior experience working within a Lean/Agile product team.
- Familiarity with tools such as InVision, Sketch, Excel, and Word.
