Production Planner

On site in Elyria, OH pays $33.50/hr

6 month contract with possible extension W2 Only no C2C or Sponsorship

General Summary:

Under general guidance of the Materials Manager, this position is responsible for working directly with the production team to ensure efficient and effective movement of materials. They are required maintain accurate planning parameters, schedule and prioritize work orders, troubleshoot issues with management, review inventory and process documentation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create and communicate Daily/Weekly production plan
• Review Work orders and prioritize accordingly to ensure smooth production flow
• Works directly with Business Unit Managers and supervisors to ensure proper plant prioritization
• Review unreleased work orders to determine root cause
• Review and update Planning parameters based on PFEP and plant need
• Monitor supermarkets and prioritize production
• Review blocking orders and create actions to reduce
• Work with inventory control to maintain accurate system inventories

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 1-5 years Inventory Control experience including Materials Planning and Procurement in a fast-paced plant procurement environment.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills are critical.
• Excel
• Occasionally lift and maneuver 30lbs.
• Perform complex and varied tasks that require independent knowledge, its application to a variety of situations, and the exercise of judgement.
• Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.

Preferred

• Experience in implementing or using JDE strongly desired.
• Experience in warehouse distribution and working with a Global supply chain
