The Account Manager will manage a portfolio of strategic accounts, focusing on maintaining and growing customer relationships while ensuring operational excellence, driving account profitability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers to increase revenue and volume.
- Manage load process and communicate shipment status with the Carrier Sales team
- Handle pricing, cost adjustments, and RFPs; analyze customer profitability and adjust pricing as needed
- Ensure timely collection of overdue invoices, working with internal collections
- Resolve customer issues related to delays, breakdowns, and order exceptions
- Participate in customer reviews and ensure SLAs are met
- Assist with load building and scheduling, as needed
- Address overages, shortages, and freight claims; escalate when necessary
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred)
- 3+ years of sales experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
