We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on heat transfer principles and thermal systems design. This role requires in-depth knowledge of industry standards and proficiency in advanced engineering tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Systems Design : Lead the design, development, and optimization of fluid/thermal systems and related components.
- Heat Transfer Application : Apply principles of heat transfer in various systems including automotive engines, turbines, and space applications.
- CAD and GD&T : Utilize NX 3D CAD tools to create detailed 2D prints with associated Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) as per ASME Y14.5 standards.
- FEA Analysis : Conduct structural and thermal Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using tools such as ANSYS to evaluate and improve design performance.
- Industry Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the automotive, aerospace, or medical device industries to ensure design compliance and innovation.
- Documentation and Reporting : Produce detailed engineering documents and reports, maintaining accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Mentorship : Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
Qualifications:
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
Experience : Minimum of 10 years of total experience in engineering, preferably with at least 3 years in the automotive, aerospace, or medical device industries.
Technical Expertise :
- Strong knowledge of heat transfer principles and applications.
- Proficiency in ASME Y14.5 GD&T Standard.
- Experience in the design and optimization of fluid/thermal systems.
- Expert in using NX 3D CAD tools and creating 2D prints with GD&T.
- Proficiency in FEA toolsets such as ANSYS.
Preferred Skills : Exposure to electrical systems including motors, inverters, and batteries is a plus.
