Job Description

A financial services company in New York City is looking to add a new 3rd Party Risk Associate / Vendor Management Associate to join their growing team.

About the Opportunity:

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Assignment Contract: 3 months
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday (3 days on site; 2 days WFH)
  • Hours: 9am to 5pm (35-hour work week)

Responsibilities:

  • Support the full lifecycle of a vendor for bank-wide vendor risk and contract activities
  • Perform directly or assist in ensuring that all vendor partners deliver services in accordance with their contracted & expected service levels.
  • Asses all contractual risk and utilization of knowledge and experience to obtain successful solutions on key risk, compliance, and regulatory issues
  • Manage vendor risk and contract management across all of the bank with emphasis on service levels, performance, and compliance
  • Lead, plan, draft, and execute vendor assessment and performance program
  • Audit and establish operational service levels and response, remedy, and resolution guidelines
  • Establish and maintain internal relationships with other departmental peers to ensure proper alignment
  • Facilitate and oversee the day-to-day processing of the full lifecycle of a vendor
  • Act as a role model for professional vendor and contract management, delivering high quality strategic solutions to meet the needs of the bank, delivering value and having significant coverage and influence over third-party vendors compliance and performance
  • Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a developed Vendor Management, Procurement, and/or Finance Department
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, and/or a related field
  • Experience supporting Corporate Procurement and Vendor management activities
  • Demonstrates a track record of significant Financial delivery
  • Strong knowledge of key Business and Contractual risks
  • Previous experience with Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Accounting software, E-mail, and Database software
  • Solid analytical and research skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized

Desired Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Oracle and ServiceNow
  • Microsoft Excel proficient
