Job Summary:
The Sales Director is responsible for driving top-line revenue and growth in the architectural walls and flooring divisions by developing and executing strategic sales plans. The role involves leading a high-performing sales team, fostering cross-selling opportunities with core divisions, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, vendors, and A&D firms. Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Director will ensure sales targets, gross margin goals, and client satisfaction benchmarks are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership: Hire, train, and manage sales team performance to meet revenue and gross profit targets.
- Strategic Planning: Develop annual/quarterly sales plans and pricing strategies aligned with divisional growth goals.
- Sales Process Management: Establish and oversee prospecting, qualifying, and closing processes, ensuring data-driven decisions and measurable success.
- Cross-Selling: Promote integration with core furniture and service divisions to boost cross-sales and expand the account base.
- Vendor Relations: Lead vendor/product strategies to achieve growth targets and manage relationships with contractors, A&D firms, and key influencers.
- Customer Experience: Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
Expectations:
- Achieve annual sales revenue of $15M by 2027.
- Ensure alignment with company CRM standards and KPIs (e.g., prospecting contacts, quote generation, closed business, customer satisfaction).
- Conduct monthly performance reviews, team meetings, and sales coaching sessions.
- Implement and monitor sales training programs to improve team capability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 10+ years in sales/leadership roles in commercial interiors, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Proven experience managing sales pipelines, P&L responsibilities, and customer-centric sales strategies.
- Strong leadership skills in hiring, training, and developing sales teams.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, continuous improvement principles, and KPI tracking.
