TITLE : Service Project Manager
Comp: Up to $90,000
Location: Columbus, IN
Our client is seeking immediate assistance in identifying a candidate for a Service Project Manager direct hire position in Columbus, IN
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares materials for service technicians.
- Receives and processes service orders from both internal and external sources, entering them into the system.
- Utilizes technical and product knowledge to quickly identify issues, develop solutions, and, if necessary, visit customers directly.
- Provides troubleshooting support, including telephone assistance and on-site visits, to address significant product issues and assist service technicians.
- Investigates claims in collaboration with laboratories, distributors, and other experts.
- Conducts technical and statistical analysis of claims, preparing relevant information for engineering and quality departments.
- Gathers and organizes technical feedback from the field to drive improvements and increase awareness across the organization.
- Schedules field service staff while considering work hours, vacations, and sick leave.
- Documents all activities in the system or designated folders to ensure traceability.
- Records and logs defects and deviations into the system.
- Coordinates additional support when internal resolution is not possible.
- Develops comprehensive training materials within the area of expertise.
Must have:
- Minimum of an Associates in a Technical field
- Showing an ability to speak with customers is more important than any technical ability
- Basic Mechanical knowledge combined with a desire to grow and learn
- Ability for Domestic Travel up to 25%
