Accentuate Staffing is working with a growing manufacturer just north of Raleigh. The Manufacturing Industrial Engineer is responsible for designing, evaluating, and improving production processes to ensure they are safe, cost-efficient, and aligned with industry standards. This role requires expertise in Industrial Engineering and Project Management to support the development and sustainability of manufacturing operations. A strong focus on continuous improvement, safety, quality, and efficiency is essential, with an emphasis on Lean methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effective Communication: Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and clear communication to meet project deadlines.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with departments such as Operations, Product Engineering, Quality, Planning, Purchasing, Maintenance, and Warehouse to support daily activities and project execution
- Process Evaluation: Assess requests for manufacturing method changes, focusing on enhancing safety, quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
- Methodology Development: Propose and implement manufacturing and logistics strategies that enhance customer value through waste reduction, shorter cycle times, and improved product quality.
- Documentation Management: Lead the development and updating of work instructions to guide team members in performing their tasks effectively.
- Efficiency Analysis: Conduct ergonomic evaluations, identify cost-saving opportunities, and drive quality improvements across processes.
- Problem-Solving: Perform root-cause analysis and troubleshoot production issues as they arise.
- Time Studies: Execute time studies to establish production standards and refine process routing.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Distribution, or Logistics.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently.
